The user can select a component or group of components which should be presented in the glasses of interest. In the case of the selection of tables any table containing at least one glass with the selected component(s) will be retrieved.
In the case of the search for glasses the user can specify not only the components themselves, but the ranges of their desired compositions in the glasses of interest. This is done with the following options:
| Included | Selecting the compounds in this field creates a list of components used in the search. One can specify the concentration limits for these substances by typing values in the Min and Max fields. Concentration units are selected as Mol.% or Wt.% in the Systems field of the form. |
| Excluded | The same type of field as Included, but the list of substances must be absent in the glasses of interest. |
Note that some components are not presented in the tables since they are reserved for future updates of the program. Please, refer to the Glossary for the list of glass components actually available in the tables.
Fields for the selection of Components can be pre-defined as being one of two types: Combo and Text field. The desired type can be selected in the Personal settings form on the My Profile page.
